GOODS SHED CONSULTATION

Car parking at the railway station is becoming increasingly difficult and with the imminent re-opening of the Halton Curve, the pressure on the car park will only increase.

Cheshire West and Chester Council is therefore keen to seek solutions to maximise the number of available parking places at this car park.

As a minimum, it is planned to surface and properly line the rough ground at the bottom of the car park but this alone will not meet the anticipated demand that has been identified in the Council's parking strategy

It is therefore proposed to demolish the goods shed, shown on the plan below, which would provide up to 60 additional parking spaces and improve the frontage to the station platform with attractive landscaping

New guide to care and support in Cheshire West and Chester – a crucial time for information

A new, updated Cheshire West and Chester Care and Support Directory has been published today in association with Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council. It gives readers crucial information on how to access, and pay for, care services throughout Cheshire West and Chester.

Community Centre car park

Enabling works for the above project are scheduled to commence on 12th February 2018 with roofing works continuing for approximately 5 weeks in total.

Access to the site is severely restricted and we need to maintain a clear route for materials deliveries and waste removal throughout the duration of the project.

It is our intention to utilise the 2 parking spaces marked on the attached plan to ensure we can manage access in a safe manner whilst minimising inconvenience for other users of the parking facilities adjacent to the community centre.

If you have any concerns regarding this proposal, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will do my best to resolve any issues.

Kind Regards,
