Frodsham Community Centretainments Group are planning a Singathon to be held on Saturday 27 th February 2016 at Frodsham Community Centre. 

It is our intention to have a wonderful community-wide event to celebrate the joy of singing and music. To involve all age groups, from school groups to senior choirs, and to include all types of music from pop to jazz, classic to folk. A 12-hour singing event for everyone to join in and sing.

 

The June litter pick had 13 of our team collected 12 bags of litter. there was not as much litter as usual.

 

Thank you to those who pick up litter and help to keep our village tidy. The next litter picks will be on Saturday 11th July, there will be no August litter pick and the September one will be on Saturday 5th September.

 

Could you give an hour once a month to help keep our village clean and tidy?

 

We will start at 10.00 am at the Community Centre.

New helpers are always welcome.

We provide all the equipment needed.

Public Events

Peel Energy will be holding exhibitions in July to update people about the wind farm construction and to seek views on the Community Benefit Fund (CBF) associated with the scheme. Details can be found below or on via download of the flyer here.

The events will be held at:

  • Frodsham Community Centre, Fluin Lane, Frodsham WA6 7QN on Monday 13 July 2015 between 1400 and 1900
  • Helsby Community Centre, Lower Robin Hood Lane, Helsby WA6 0BQ on Friday 17 July 2015 between 1400 and 1900
  • Elton Community Centre, Elton, Cheshire West and Chester CH2 4PU on Saturday 18 July 2015 between 1500 and 1900

Digital Learning Champions

Could you be a Digital Learning Champion? Connecting Cheshire is looking for people to give an hour or two a week to help others learn basic digital skills. You don’t need to be atechnical whizz but will be confident using the internet and enthusiastic about the many benefits it can bring.

 

To be a Digital Learning Champion you will need to:

  • Have good basic digital skills e.g. send and receive emails, search for information on the internet and complete online forms – all in a safe and secure manner
  • Be able to inspire others to ‘have a go’
  • Be patient, encouraging and good at explaining instructions to people who are learning something new
  • Ideally have used a range of technologies e.g. smart phones, tablets and laptops
