First Climate Emergency Taskforce meet

In response to the Climate Emergency declaration, the Council has established a cross-party taskforce. One of the first tasks for the group will be to determine the earliest date that the Council, and the borough as a whole, can be carbon neutral before 2045. Specific targets and a strategy for how we do this will be set out over the next 12 months following a baselining exercise to review the area’s current emissions and a Climate Emergency Summit.
