Councils decision on Federation

The Council has published their decision on Federation on their site. I have added a link to the About page but to go to them directly click here.

Until asked otherwise this site will stay open as a means of informing people of decisions regarding Federation and the steps involved. For this to happen though could I ask that people please keep me informed as the decisions etc are made. I can only publish the information if I know about it! :)

Federation Agreed

The propsal to amalgamate Kingsley St. John's with Norley C.E Primary School has been dropped and it has been agreed that the two schools will join as part of Federation.

On behalf of the parents, the school and the action group could I take
this opportunity to thank everybody who has helped out in any way with the
campaign over the last few months. Your efforts have been very much
appreciated.

Mrs Griffiths, the Head of Kingsley St. John's, has written the following letter to parents today (19/12/2005):

Dear Parents,

I am delighted to be able to share with you that our proposal for Federation with Norley C.E. School was accepted at the Executive meeting held today at Chester! This enables us to retain our school in the village and to continue to provide the individual level of care and high standards of education which help make our school so special. I would like to thank all the Governors, members of the local community, staff, children and you for all your help and support in enabling us to put forward such a strong case to the Local Authority. Councillors at the Executive meeting thanked everyone for their full participation in the pre-consultation process. The next stage will be to work with the Governing Body at Norley in January on the details and timescale for Federation. We will of course to continue to keep you fully informed of any proposals arising from these meetings.
