Federation (and meeting to discuss), thanks from the Governors, Quiz night and the School Stomp

A letter has today gone out to parents thanking people for their hard work and giving some information on progress so far (snippets appear below):
Federation
"The Governing Body of Kingsley St. John's C.E. (Aided) Primary School is proposing hard federation with Norley C.E. Primary School as an alternative option to amalgamation. The federation would see one Governing Body and one head teacher with both schools having 'Aided' status. In coming to this decision, the Governing Body has considered all information from the Local Authority. On educational and community grounds, we feel that federation is the strongest viable option at this time."

A new page has been added to the web site to give information on Federation.

Meeting to discuss Federation
There is a meeting on Wednesday 30th November 2005 at 7.30pm at Kingsley St. John's where Mrs Alison Penny from the Local Education Authority will talk and answer questions on what Federation is, and what is means to the school.

Thanks from the Governors
"The Governing Body of Kingsley St. John's would like to thank everybody for their hard work on behalf of the school. As a result of a great deal of time and energy on the part of many parents, children, staff, governors, members of the community and others we seem to be nearer to being able to secure the future of Kingsley St. John's CE Primary School for our children to continue to enjoy the benefits of a small rural school in its own community."

Quiz Night
There is a quiz night being held at the Horseshoe pub at 9pm Friday 2nd December 2005

Reminder for Consultation meeting 15/11/2005

The Meetings page mentioned that there would be Response forms available from the Cheshire County Council web site so that you could make sure your questions etc are recorded. These have NOT yet appeared on the web site so feel free to contact either County Councillor David Rowlands on 01244 300655 or Media Relations Manager Ian Callister on 01244 602216.

Said forms should be available at the meeting so please make sure your views and questions are recorded. Kingsley St. John's would like a big presence at the meeting at 4.00pm, as we think this will be good for press coverage (though any time between 2.00pm and 7.30pm will be appreciated).

Further details can be found on the The Meetings page.
