Federation
On Friday 25th November 2005 the Governing Body Of Kingsley St. John's agreed to put forward to the School Planning Select Panel, which meets on 13th December 2005 the following resolution:
The Governing Body of Kingsley St. John's C.E. (Aided) Primary School is proposing hard federation with Norley C.E. Primary School as an alternative option to amalgamation. The federation would see one Governing Body and one head teacher with both schools having 'Aided' status. In coming to this decision, the Governing Body has considered all information from the Local Authority. On educational and community grounds, we feel that federation is the strongest viable option at this time.
The Governing Body of Norley has agreed to a similar resolution, and Chester Diocese is also in support. The Local Education Authority officers have given assurance that they will support this proposal at the meetings on 13th December 2005 and 19th December 2005 as an appropriate way forward, in preference to amalgamation.
The Governing Body will be reminding the County Councillors of the education and community strengths of Kingsley St. John's in the evidence supporting the resolution that will be sent to the Local Education Authority the week ending 2nd December 2005.
